Tau-Ken Samruk prepares to launch beryllium mining in the Karaganda Region
A new mining project is being prepared for launch in Kazakhstan, with the potential to increase demand for карьер equipment, processing machinery, and industrial infrastructure. National mining company Tau-Ken Samruk plans to begin beryllium ore extraction at the Nura Taldy deposit in the Shet District of the Karaganda Region in 2028.
According to the plans, exploration and pilot development works will be carried out at the site in 2026–2027, after which the deposit will move into the industrial development stage. Ore extraction will be conducted by open-pit mining through 2050.
The Nura Taldy project предусматривает the construction of a full set of facilities required for comprehensive deposit development. These include an open pit, ore storage area, waste dumps, a crushing and sorting complex, and the further development of processing infrastructure. For the market, this means the formation of steady demand for open-pit mining equipment, excavators, mining dump trucks, drilling solutions, spare parts, service support, and related technologies.
The project is of particular interest to companies operating in the heavy equipment and mining solutions segment. The technological scheme includes drilling and blasting operations, loading of rock mass, and its transportation, which points to a comprehensive need for modern equipment, maintenance services, and operating materials.
The Nura Taldy deposit belongs to the category of rare-metal deposits. Its primary mineral is beryllium, while associated components include molybdenum, tungsten, bismuth, and scandium. Such projects are important not only for the extractive sector, but also for equipment manufacturers, engineering companies, processors, and suppliers of industrial solutions.
Against the backdrop of new resource development initiatives in Kazakhstan, projects like this send an important signal to the industry: the market continues to require modern technologies, high-performance equipment, and reliable industrial infrastructure.
