A new highway will be built in Kazakhstan, connecting Astana to the Trans-Caspian Transport Route.

President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has announced the launch of a major infrastructure project that will strengthen the country's transport connectivity. A new highway will connect the capital with the western regions of Kazakhstan, passing through the cities of Arkalyk, Turgay, and Irgiz, and providing a direct link to the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

The highway will shorten the distance between the central and western regions of the country by 560 kilometers, significantly reducing transportation costs and accelerating cargo deliveries—positively impacting the economy. According to the head of state, the project will boost the development of the entire Turgay region, creating new opportunities for agricultural land development and livestock farming in Central Kazakhstan.

In addition to road construction, the president has ordered the restoration of Arkalyk Airport and the construction of a new terminal complex, enhancing regional accessibility and attracting additional investments into the economy.

The development of transport infrastructure opens new prospects for business and economic growth in Kazakhstan.
